The Shelties learned some new tricks [Photos]

I just needed an excuse to post some new pics.

The boys learned some new tricks last night. Gosh, I just love clicker training. They picked up these tricks in a matter of minutes. I'm so proud of them.

I'm especially proud of Kaedyn. Five months ago, he didn't know a single command. In those short five months, he's completed basic obedience with flying colors, has such a great recall and has picked up so many new commands.

    Kaedyn's new tricks..

    "up!"

    "Other paw"

    BANG!

    *cough* drama queen

    More coming

Wow, you've had Kaedyn 5 months? You've done a wonderful job with him! I remember seeing pics of him sad in the shelter...he's become such a gorgeous, talented dog!

Great photos! It looks like Kaedyn and Kai pick up tricks very quickly! I really like the pic of Kai jumping over your arm, that's awesome!

I need to get off my butt and teach Nebo some new tricks! Clicker training is great!

    Great pics, as always.
And smart shelties....as always (Nope absolutely not biased towards shelties...nope not at all.)

And kudos to you for being motivated enough to teach them.
I am so lazy *sigh* I always say that if my dogs had a different owner they could know so much. Ah well, one day I'll be unlazy and then watch out! LOL

They are so cute! How do you learn how to clicker train? I'm sure Duke's not too old to learn some new things. I would love to teach him how to bow. He was doing it so cute the other night but by the time I got the camera, he quit. I like the last pic the best. They really compliment each other.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

    Thanks everyone!

Wolfie: Most of them were taught last night except for jumping. He learned it a while ago but it was his first time jumping over arms and legs last night.

Val: Clicker training is sooo easy. It's basically just clicking the exact moment your dog does something you like. It's like "YES!" except it doesn't change pitches each time so it's very consistant. I'd be happy to give you tips if you'd like to try it out with Duke.

Yes, I would love it! I would like to know how to teach Duke to do this: on command. It's just too cute.
