    World's apart.

Since I am programming your viewing habits...

National Geographic has a 'reality' television show where an American family is sent
to another country for 9 days to 'experience'
what life is like for the native citizens.

They are paired up with a family and introduced to the customs, food, lifestyles......

    LOLOLOL,
I do not know what these people expect when they sign up for this program.

Should there ever be the situation where people have to 'rough it'-plant, harvest food, raise and slaughter animals, cook and live off the land-
I won't worry.......then we can cross off about 99.9% of the USA.

Most of us think 'roughing it' means forming our own hamburger patties and cutting a lettuce, as opposed to opening up a cello bag with pre fab Ceasear salad in it or picking up a package of hambuger patties, the kind with the wax paper in between the meat.

    Most American families aren't soft.....

    they are liquid.

I seen a show like that last night! It was hilarious! Sure wasn't what they were thinking.

My husband really got a kick out of it, he thought it was funny. I just hope he don't want to do this. I am used to the softer side of life now.

I'm a liquid, high maintenance, materialistic, lazy, industrialized, capitalist American.

    Thank God.

There is a show here at the moment of a German family who spends the winter in Siberia. They won't be the same when they come back.

*shaking when thinking of the climate*

    2. climateA region of the earth having particular meteorological conditions: lives in a cold climate
It's official, Siberia does have a "climate"...cold! Do you think Merriam Webster will ever let them come home?
