    Fat Emily!!!

I was going through some disks with some pretty old pics on them and found these pics of Emily. I can't believe how fat she was!!!
She weighed 33 pounds in these pictures. She's now a proper 25 pounds. I can't believe I never noticed how fat she was getting. Good thing I got Clipse or else she could have ended up a sheltie blimp.

She looked like a female version of Kai. He's a rollie pollie now but I've cut down on the food and cut down on eggs. He's coming down pound by pound now..we'll get there eventually.

Jake was nearly 50 lbs! He's down to 42 now and I think he's a healthy weight (I can easily feel ribs and he has an "hourglass" figure). Of course he's an extremely oversized sheltie. I had to put him on a pretty strict diet, poor old guy.

    Thanks for the siggy, Lexi_Lover!

It's so easy to happen with shelties and collies. Much harder to tell when they are packing the pounds with their coats. My mother-in-law really overfed Devon too much.. he was a whopping 30 pounds for awhile too. She fed him good sized portions, the problem was all the extras he got, a treat here, a piece of bread there

Here is a pic of him (picture of a picture)

Molly (Collie) is around 71 pounds now, and the vet said she's at a good weight. She's bigger for a female, and actually around the size of a male dog.

    Aww chubby Emily.

Leather is faaaat. My stepmom doesn't take her for walks and she feeds her five cups a day! I was going to take her when I move out so that I can get her healthy, but she won't let me take her. I'm afraid for Leather because she has cancer.

I don't care if Emily is fat in those pictures. She is still just as beautiful as ever. I love those shelties. Gorgeous dogs!

It's hard for me to tell because of all that fur she has.
Rolly polly or not she looks adorable in the pictures.

That's just it. It looks like she has a great thick full coat. Only she doesn't. That's really fat in those pics. LOL
