Wow that's a lot of hair!

I took out the shedding blade yesterday and brushed Tibby, look at all this hair!

I put my hand down next to it so you can see in comparison how big that mound of hair actually was.

Tibby denying that all that hair came from her.

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

Omegosh!! Makes me glad I have shorthairs!! Is this because of winter coming or is this a year round thing?? Although - as long as the cats enjoyed it - I think I would love to brush and groom them

I think it's just a winter thing. It's been a while since I used the shedding blade on Tibby, but I don't remember ever taking off that much hair and I'm sure if I brushed her again today I get just as much off of her again.

I have a shedding blade and know it works excellant on Keegan, but haven't been convinced that it works that well on Kylie. But I will have to try it.

You'd be surprised!!! Tubby is shorthair and I got a pile very similar to this the first time I used that shedding blade thing too. Believe it or not, I get more from Tubby than I do from Peanut. For some reason the shedding blade doesn't work that well on her.

Now I try and keep up with it - at least once a week - and the pile from Tubby is significantly smaller, but still a lot of hair for a short haired cat!

Tibby must feel SO good now having got rid of all that hair. I brush Fister nearly every day, but not much comes off. Perhaps I should try a shedding blade like that!!

WOW!! That had to take a couple of pounds off of Tibby!!

I remember when everyone was excited about the shedding blade. I never got one but I am going to make a stop TODAY after seeing that! With seven of the nine being long hairs I really need that. I wonder how come it doesn't work as well on some cats as others?? Different hair types??

My flatmate thinks that the shedding brush looks like a fish descaler. So once a week I *descale* Bastet. She has a little pile but not as big as the first time though! That was enormous!

WOW That sure is alot of hair!! I have seen the shedding blades before, but I was never sure how to use them, they seemed kinda of painful looking. I think my Sammy would benefit from a good de-fluffing like that!

Kim, I love my signature! Thanks!

    That is alot of hair.

Ok I have to ask. I have seen it mentioned before, and it may have been asked and answered before. What is a shedding blade. From the pile of fur, I need one if it works that good.

I also have a shedding blade and I've found that it works better on Storm and Sunny than on Cirrus and Sky. I'm always able to get a large pile of fur off of Storm.

Bryan, here's one of the threads about the shedding blade:http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthre...light=shedding .
