I'm just forwarding this along.

"There are a lot of homeless animals out there and this little guy is about to be one of 'em. Very soon he will lose the only family he knows (an elderly gentleman) and it sure would be nice if he could go to a new home instead of some shelter. And, of course, we don't want him to go to a shelter where he will be euthanized if a home cannot be found for him in a timely manner.

We don't have very much information about Fred. His owner is moving in with his sister and he cannot take the dog with him.(This is a very sad situation that I have encountered many, many times while doing pet therapy at a local nursing home. SO MANY PEOPLE have to leave pets behind and it is heartbreaking for both the owner and the animal.) We know that Fred is good with kids. We also know that he is not yet neutered so that is something that needs to happen immediately upon adoption. The kindly neighbor of Fred's elderly owner only has until December 11th to find a new home for Fred. He sure is a sweet looking fellow (slightly sad too) and he so deserves to be in a loving home with humans who will shower him with affection.
Hopefully, this notice will reach the person/family that can give Fred a forever home. An alternative would be providing a foster home for Fred until a forever home can be found so please consider that if you are not prepared to adopt just yet.

If you can give Fred a forever home or can foster him until one can be found, please contact Margaret Clingman at (972) 982-5376 or email her at

Please feel free to forward this email to any and all animal loving folk. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping save Fred!"
