We created our own dog park!! (pics)

On Saturday, I mentioned to Scott that I wished so badly that we had a dog park like so many of you. Sunday, at lunch, he said that we should just make our own dog park, and suggested that we go to the baseball field at our church, block off the two little entrances and let the dogs go. So we did! Here are some pictures from our outing. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Here's Murphy, bless her heart. She walked and walked!

Here's Honey, who had a wonderful time fetching

    Zipper, running like a Greyhound!!!!

    Honey, again

Lilly and Honey took off! Turned out they were ready to go home!

    More to come

Oh Logan, what great pics! Doesn't it do your heart good to see them having such fun! Retrievers were born to run and fetch! Or in Murphy's case, take a nice leisurely stroll! You know I'm that girl's #1 fan! And how heartwarming to see Zipper enjoying his new family; he fits right in, doesn't he! What a wonderfu idea, creating your very own doggie park! Give them all big hugs and kisses from me, Cody and Star! Love ya, friend!

Sandra, I knew you would love seeing Murphy! She couldn't be left behind and it turned out that she just walked and walked. Poor baby was exhausted after we got home! I gave her a Rimadyl, just in case, and it was probably for the best as she is quite stiff today. But she enjoyed herself, just like the others!

Wonderful pictures! Thanks for sharing them.

We took Lefty to an open field yesterday, and let him run off-leash for the first time. He LOVED it! He'd charge toward us and then dart off in another direction. He looked so happy; that is, until he started acting like he might throw up... ...we slowed down a bit after that!

Logan everytime I see those pictures, they put a smile on my face. All of your furbabies are so beautiful, and they all had a wonderful time including Murphy and the kids and Mom and Dad.
It's cloudy and very cool here and it put a little sunshine in our life, lol.

Great pictures Logan! That was great of you to give your pups some time to run. There is a nice open field near my house and I keep thinking what a great dog park it would make. Anyways your pups are just precious! You could tell they really enjoyed themselves!

What a great idea and what great pics! I love the one of Lilly rolling in the grass. Dogs are so wonderful. By watching them, your heart feels so light and you can almost imagine what it's like to be a happy dog.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
