Oh, I hope it goes down and doesn’t have to be removed. I’m so relieved that it’s nothing bad. Reggie’s one of my favorite PT doggies.

How about some pics to celebrate?

I think you can take comfort in the fact that most often lumps aren't cancerous if they don't appear to be connected to surrounding tissues. It sounds like this is the case here.

    Good luck!

    Lumps and bumps

So he gave him two shots and some pills we've been giving him...we're hoping those will help and it's not something that needs to be removed..

Good news is, I could *swear* it feels smaller tonight.
Were one of those shots or pills Prednisone? Make sure a needle aspirate is taken and sent off to a Pathology lab for diagnostics. That is the only sure way to know what is really going on.

I'm not sure what they are, I'll have to find out from my mom. We haven't taken a needle aspirate or anything yet the vet was just seeing if this would effect it at all.

Good news: The lump on his neck is MUCH MUCH smaller...
Bad new: He's been peeing in the house, possibly caused by the medication.

He acts fine and is eating well.

Oh yeah, the Predisone will do that to him. He'll get hungrier the longer he's on it too.

If the pills are considered a steroid that would explain the peeing. One of my toy poodles years ago was on Prednisone (steroid) for a short time and the vet warned me that she would be drinking more and asking to go out more and he was right on both counts. Hope Reggie continues to improve!!

    Clavamox is

the equivalent of doggy Augmentin which is Amoxicillin + Clavulanate. It's usually very effective in combating Strep and Staph infections. It's most common use is for respiratory infections. Other uses include skin or skin derived infections.

IF the swellings come back up, it will be very important for you to get a needle aspirate of the lumps sent off to a Pathology lab, and to avoid ANY Prednisone (presumably one of the shots received) before the Pathology lab results come back.

Killian's protocol for pemphigus vulgaris is prednisone. He does drink more and consequently has to go out more (but he can hold it for a loooooong time, which results in a loooooooooog pee time.) He also eats very well, another side effect of that drug.

    Glad the lumps are shrinking!

The lump on his neck is *very* small now, barely there. No more peeing or anything, he's acting just fine.

Yay! I'm glad Reggie is feeling better!

I'm on Augmentin right now and I have to pee all the time! LOL!
