What Group is that breed in??

What Group is that breed in?? In this game, you say a breed and people have to guess what it is used for, and what group it's in. You only ask yes or no questions, and if you get it right, you keep going. (This game is kinda easy) heehee!

Ok, I'll start with a REALLY easy one. Labrador retriever.

Thanks For my Beautiful Sig. Fiachra!

I'm assuming you are talking about the AKC here?

    Sporting Group
Used for retreiving water fowl, mostly

Is this what you had in mind?
"We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare and the love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam

"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien

The Vizsla is a sporting dog, perhaps even the oldest sporting breed. They came from Hungarian. They point & retreive! They also make a great pet as they are easy to train & eager to please!

Are we just going on if we "know" we are right? Or are we waiting for a reply?

Hmmmm, well, let's just say if you are like, almost positive you are right, then go aheard, but if you aren't sure or someone beats you in putting a post up and says your right, just say "thanks" and if you are almost positive, so you keep going, and you DO get it wrong, someone will KINDLY tell you.
    ALL AGREE??????

    Dogs: Nova, Konnor and Sitka

The whippet is in the hound group. It is a sighthound specifically.
The whippet first became popular in mining areas when mining families would race them. In fact up until the first World War, whippet racing was more popular than greyhound racing. Because they were owned by miners they were known as the poor man's greyhound.
They were also used to hunt rabbits and other small game.
