    Christmas Trees

While we are on the topic of Richard's beautiful Christmas card, does anyone else have trouble keeping the ornaments on the tree? Chuck is really good at removing every ornament within his reach, so we keep moving them up. Pretty soon the whole bottom of the tree is naked except for lights. Note the lack of decorations in the attached photo. He doesn't climb the tree (too heavy to get too far!) but he goes into super stalker mode under the tree and anyone who walks too close is likely to get a paw upside your leg! Richard, I love your card! It is so beautiful! You should really use it for the Holidays.

Yes! I put beads eveywhere and after the first night, they only exist on the top half of the tree!

I'm only too afraid of what my tree will look ike this yea with a kitten running around. I'm sure I'll have a naked tree waist down.

    That picture is adorable!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

I tossed out the Christmas Tree as they were smacking the bulbs off ,, and trying to eat the tinsel. It isnt worth having one of the Cats get ill , just to have a Tree , that only I will see.

The tree had only been up a few minutes and Pickles was already checking it out. I have since heard from his mom and dad that ornaments are broken, and for some reason, the bottom half of the tree is pretty bare...

    I'm not doing anything...just lookin' around...no REALLY...

That picture is great. Good luck with the ornaments this year.

Bob and Joey both like to stalk under the tree. Bob like to smack the oranaments at the lowel levels. So we keep the soft ones done there. Not sure about Joey yet, she was still fairly skittesh last year. We will see what happens this year, how that she is comming around.

    Thanks for the photo.

im pretty sure that this year my christmas tree will be like the ones u guys decribe. bare at the bottom. i have a kitten, as u might already know, and she attacks anything and everthing. during the night she is to stay in my room, and when im not home she is to stay in my room. mittens will hate that. smokey and stormy are good with the tree up. all they do is lay under the tree. we cant put ornaments at the bottom of the tree, but like 2 or 3 branches up is better. smokey used to smack some of the shiney ones off the tree. he has a thing with shiney things. he has to play with them. lol. mittens destroyed smokey's shiney ribbon toy, smokey is mad at her for that.

    RIP Stormy

My husband and I have been married for a little over three years. Our first Christmas, we only had Saphirah. We had a real tree that year, and our biggest problem was that she thought the tree stand was a water dish. She is one of those cats who dips her paw into the water and licks it off. When she was finished drinking, she would sling her paw to dry it off. The next year, we bought an artificial tree. We also added Chloe to our family. Chloe is a tree climber. Both Saphirah and Chloe are fond of any kind of crocheted or fabric ornament. (We have found those in strange places, often well after Christmas. ) So far (fingers crossed), they haven't been too rough on the breakable ornaments. They are also quite fond of bows on gift packages. This will be our first Christmas with Samson, so we'll have to wait and see how things turn out.

  11. Edwina has always seen the Christmas tree as merely a prop for a great photo opportunity. Eddie....well...we will see...I'm a little worried....
