*GASP* I want to visit Australia!!!!! *cries*

What kind of birds are those? They're a type of parrot right? Absolutely GORGEOUS! I WISH we had those kinds of birds in the US!

On the Tiel Talk board that I visit (birdsnways), one of the members is an Australian and constantly posts pics of the cockatoos outside her house..........and the lorikeets, and all those parrots in their natural habitat, that in the US, we ONLY know as domesticated pets! Its so neat, but can I tell you...........you Australians are making me SOOOOOOO jealous! I want to see those birds in real life!

The place looks wonderful, and the pups are gorgeous as ever! They look so happy! Thanks for sharing!

You are so lucky to be there! Those birds are gorgeous and I can't believe they are so near to you. And the dogs look like they are loving the ocean. Duke does too!

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Pops, you would have so much fun with your camera in Australia! Those birds are rosellas. They travel in herds(? ) and make a loud, squawking noise that you can hear almost for miles!

I like cockatoos as well, even if the farmers hate them. They're very smart birds. In one apartment in Sydney, we trained one cockatoo to visit on weekends for breakfast (or he trained us). He liked fruit bread and Sao dry biscuits. One day he brought seven of his friends, and they were all lined up on the balcony rail. Feed them once and they'll hang around forever, so we didn't feed them! The next day Mr Cockatoo came back ... by himself

Michelle, great photos. Yes, you won't be losing John in a hurry in that shirt!!!

Ohhhhhhhh Rosellas! They breed them as pets here!

Yep, cockatoos are very very smart. Its funny that in Australia you see them as wild birds, while in the US, they're pets and nothing but pets! Cockatiels are Australian too. Do you ever see wild tiels flying around? I wonder what Captain's Jo thinks of her wild cockatoo cousins.......since she's a cockatoo herself!

If I ever go to Australia, I'm sure I'd come back with over 1000 pictures!

    Oh my!

What a wonderful holiday you all had, swimming, birdwatching & just have a great time
I can't believe it, what made Captain want to get in the water? Did he think that Ruby was having too much fun by herself
    This is an amazing pic

And exactly what (or who) are they looking for

    Too Cute!!
