    New foster dog!

This is Pacer. He joined our little pack earlier tonight. Pacer is a husky mix who has been at our shelter for almost a year. He's very timid, but sweet and gentle. He was becoming depressed at the shelter. There are some volunteers who take the shelter dogs to a fenced area on the weekends, but they can't take Pacer as they can't catch him again. You can imagine how sad he was watching his buddies leave for a run. So now he's here where he can run in a huge fenced area to his little heart's content!

This is in my truck on the way home--actually the McDonald's drive thru. He had a happy meal for a special treat.

Hanging out in the kitchen. I'd imagine it's the first time he's been inside a house!

So far he's fitting in well--very busy running around.

Welcome to the chaos little fella!

Pacer is a beautiful boy! His story tugged at my heart--he looks so sweet lying in the kitchen. He is such a lucky boy to get to move to your home, and to get McDonalds! I'm sure he'll adjust to the good life in no time. Thanks for all you do!

I don't know, are you sure he's a foster? Or, are you going to fail Fostering 101 again? If you are, congratulations! That beautiful pup deserves a loving home like yours. He had enough loneliness in his life after such a long time at the shelter...

    Pacer is a gorgeous doggy!
Does he have two different colored eyes? I can't quite tell if he does or if it's just the flash.
He's so lucky to have you and your new fenced doggy run!!!
Thanks for sharing your pictures of this handsome new foster!

Running a shelter is a very noble thing. Thanks for giving Pacer and the others a home. He looks like one happy pup.

What a cutie! I can't imagine that he would be in a shelter for a year already. I would have thought someone would have adopted Pacer right away I'm glad you took him home.
