    Layla's first boat ride

It was a little chilly, but a lot of fun. She got to play with some other dogs during lunch and get all the wind she wanted. She also went swimming when my back was turned.

Lisa - by the photos, I thought you were in the U.P. I live near Escanaba. You're brave to be getting out in the water in this chilly weather! Looks like Layla had a wonderful time!

Some of us from Up North are getting together this summer at the Sylvania Wilderness for either a hiking trip or a canoeing trip. We're thinking of going 3-4 days. Kalamazoo isn't too far from here . . .

    Thanks for the siggy, Lexi_Lover!

She's about 7 months (almost full grown at 25 lbs, the vet thinks she'll be about 30 lbs) and she is a shepard mix...maybe with sheltie? We're really not to sure. I'm willing to take guesses

Aye, me and the demon dog will be on this trip. Jenn and Chris might be able to make it. You could come (with or without Layla). Maybe after Layla is fixed we can try introducing them again.
