    Ruby's Tummy

I thought about posting this in 'Dog Health', but I'm really not too concerned about this being a health issue Anywho...

I was looking through some old photos to find some good shots of Ruby for this neat new frame I got. Well, I noticed that since Ruby came to live with us a little over a year ago the skin on her tummy (she doesn't have much fur there) has gone from pink to nearly all black Is this normal??

this photo was taken early April of this year

I took this one a few minutes ago.

Sorry the photos aren't that great. I can try to find better ones if you want.

Should I be concerned? Or is this just something that happens with age??

Here's a pic of the frame I was talking about...

    Isn't it cute?

I guess it's just something that happens. Simba's is rather black as well when it used to be pink.

    Cute Frame!

I don't know about the tummy color thing.

RUBY! You're stunning as always!!! *SCRITCHIES*

That is an adorable picture frame! It reminds me of your old siggy that had Ruby's pictures in all four letters of her name.

Many thanks to Roxyluvsme13 & k9krazee for my great new siggy!!

Yeah, I think that's normal. Chester's was the same way, pink with some spots. Now he has a few spots and no more pink. Mostly dark grey. It's darker on one side, too.

Sadie's black fur makes it hard to see her tummy but it seems like a color change would be an age related thing.

That frame looks great! Ruby is so pretty.

    Thanks for the responses

I figured it was probably a natural thing, but it's nice to have reassurance

Ruby says thanks for all of the nice compliments!

    I love your frame.

I think as they grow older the coloring changes... Chilli's tummy was all pink, but not any more. I was laughing at Chilli that those are her "age spot". I just love to tease her. So nothing to worry abt.

My grandma's shi tzu has a pink tummy in the winter, and s black-speckled tummy in the summer.
    I've been BOO'd!

  9. I'm sure its normal becuz most dogs i see have dark colored tummies and my lab used to have a pink tummy but when he got older it turned like ruby's

I don't have a clue as to what to tell you. And, I have got to know where you got that picture! I want one.

Yes, they had them for cats too

I got the frame at a local fair. I've seen the booth set up several differnt times at different county/state/street fairs I think they're based out of Florida. There's a URL on the back of the frame, it's www.luposartgallery.com, they may have them there My sister has one that says "HAWAII" and she has photos from her Hawaiian vacation in it. I love it She also got one that says "BROTHER" and put of bunch of pics of her, our bother, & myself in it and gave it to him for Christmas. I love those frames, they're so cute!
