    Oxymorons anyone?

oxymoron (âk-si-'mör-ân) n. a combination of contradictory or incongruous words.

    Isn't that an oxymoron?
This reminded that I rather like oxymorons. Anybody else got any good ones?

I found this on the CIA site recently: “The George Bush Center for Intelligence”

    Or how about:
    “Business Ethics” and “Corporate Responsibility”

… and there are signs, such as “Guaranteed used cars”.
(Nice to know there’s NO chance of getting a new one.)

I also liked the billboard on the motorway which said “Brake and clutch parts”.

    Any more? Better perhaps?

The traffic sign "Slow Children Ahead". Where do the fast ones cross?

There was a great triple one I heard a few years ago, but I only remember two of the three parts. It (supposedly) was about a house for sale --

This fine home is a little big and pretty ugly now, but with fix-up and some paint...

My friend showed me this, but I'm not sure if it would be considered an oxymoron.

There was a sign that said, 'ENTRANCE ONLY. DO NOT ENTER'.

I don't know if you would consider this an oxymoron, but I saw this sign on the doors of Walmart once:

'Open 24 hrs, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Closed on Christmas'

Gives me the mental image of a slightly insane chicken that explodes on the plate!

    For me, happily married

    9/3/13
I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.
    [/SIZE]

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
