    Oz helps me paint (pics)...

Oz and I set out to paint his table for agility practice today.
Here he is on the finished product:

Uh Mom, I don’t think it’s suppose to be this wobbly.

After I finished painting I headed across the patio, with the
paint bucket in one hand and the brush in the other. Oz had
managed to get water all over the patio, after getting a drink
of water, so I promptly slipped and fell. Miraculously, I didn’t
spill a drop of paint from the bucket as I fell, but scrapped my
knees and elbow and managed to swipe the paint brush across
Oz’s nose, as I was reaching out that hand towards anything to
    catch my fall.

Oz got a drink of water before I could get the camera to take
some pics, but here’s what’s left of the paint on his nose.

Here he is in his favorite obstacle, the tunnel

And finally, digging in the bed, trying to make the perfect spot to
    lay down in:

It was about time for my Oz "fix!" What a good Oz, helping your Mommy paint! You look so precious with your painted nose! I'll bet you have lots of fun on your agility course! And I'll bet you're great at it too! How nice of your Mom to make your own equiptement! My Star loves agility and we have a little mini course in the backyard but it's not homemade like yours; that's really special! And what is it with you doggies digging in your bed?? Star does that everywhere she decides to sleep! You'd think she was digging to China!

Great pics Par!! Hope you're okay after the fall!! Oz, be careful with the water slobbers, don't want mom to get hurt. Wait, you probably do, cause then she'd get more pill bottles to chew!!!

    Handsome Oz!!!!
You were trying to help your mommy out huh??

What a beautiful agility course--is it all homemade?? We really want to get Riley going on some agility--he is a major jumper!!

As always, I enjoyed seeing pictures of that handsome man, Oz!!!!

Hope you feel ok after the fall

    hi tats!

Ironically, it's the Collie that does the digging thing and
the terriers do the turning in a circle. Well actually Maddie
doesn't waste anytime where sleeping is concerned. She
just flops whereever she is, but Murph has to turn an
unbelievable amount of times before he gets the spot just
    right.

    hiya micki!

With Oz around, I'm getting to be an expert faller.
He cut my legs out from under me again in agility
the other night, then pounced on my chest and stood
there waiting for a treat. Felt like I was having a
    WWF moment.

    hola lovemyshiba!

I made the jumps, the weaves and the table, but the tunnel
and the teeter totter I bought over the internet. Just figured
they'd be too hard to make on my own.

Yeh I think you and Riley would enjoy agility together. It really
is fun and quite a bonding experience too. Plus you're reinforcing
commands like "sit", "down", "stay" and "come" in a fun way.

Oh Par, forgive me for not mentioning your spill I hope you're on the mend!! At our first agility class, while running the course, I slid on the wet grass and ruptured a tendon in my leg! I feel for ya! What we won't endure for our kids! Feel better! Sandra

art form, so I very rarely ever get hurt. *knock wood*

Oz what a great painter you are and how nice of you to help your mommy!

I hope she is feeling better after her fall.....but hey, no paint on the deck I guess that was a good thing.

Your story made me laugh! Glad to know you weren't hurt. Oz is very pretty. Too bad he went and got water before you got the camera. Meant to add that Duke does that digging around in his dog bed, also. Wonder what that means?

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Great pics!! I'd like to try agility with Nebo....could you perhaps take some photos of all of your equiptment? And where did you find the items you bought? I've been looking for a tunnel like that (Nebo tried one out at Petsmart and loved it) but haven't been able to locate one. Thanks!

I don't think either of my pups would enjoy agility, Sierra does what she wants, when she wants to, there's no telling her what to do, plus as soon as she were to be off lead, she'd take off to the next county! Buddy on the other hand, he doens't need to be on a lead, because he won't leave my side as soon as were not on our yard anymore. So I would have to do all the jumps and things WITH him because he needs to be touching me ALL the time.....so....I think we'll just sit back and enjoy looking at all your pix!!! But it sure looks like fun!!

    Oz.....you sure are hansome!!!!!
