Ever catch your cats doing this?

Taz would probably kill me for posting this picture. He has a reputation to uphold, lol. Kelli won't care either way. I love seeeing them do the meerkat pose. The picture isn't the clearest, but it's cute.

Kona sits up like that, too. I think she must have great balance! I don't have any pictures of it though . . .

My grey tabby, Terra, does the meerkat thing too, all the time. One of our nicknames for her is the Meerkat-cat.

LOL -- Meer Kat! Mishi does this wonderful pose, but I haven't been able to catch it on camera. He's so large he looks more like a kangaroo than a meerkat.

I have to try and get a picture of Mandy doing the meerkat pose. I see her do it all the time and for some reason I never thought to take a picture.

    LOVE meerkat wannabe!!!

When Noel does it, we call her "wormy" cause she looks like those worm guys (coffee drinking) from MIB. She has a really long torso, so it looks funny.

When Basie, Noah or Hermie do it, we call is "praire dog". They have longer necks.

Either name, I LOVE when they do that. Its SOOOO cute!!!

I can get Peanut to do this when I'm giving her treats, but she would never do it on her own, and only does it for treats after lots and lots of protesting. Protesting as in ignoring me and the treat, looking the other way, just sort of half heartedly doing it when she knows I want a "good" sit-up, and other such shenanigans. See, her daddy doesn't make her work for her treats, so she doesn't understand why I make her work for them, and sometimes almost gets to the point of walking away to get her daddy to give her a treat instead of sitting up for me.

Once I happened to get a picture.

My Mooky does the Meercat when our supper is on the table. It's like he is saying, "MMMMMM, what's ya got up there. Anything for me."
