    Peanut Found some Catnip

The effects of the brushing weren't as dramatic on Peanut. I got a lot of hair out of her too, but not even 1/4 of what I got out of Tubby. And now when I brush her again, I just get straggly bits here and there, not the loads of it I'm still getting from Tubby. She is softer too though, although she always was my softy to begin with. It's just amazing to me that Tubby=short hair=scads comes off with brushing and Peanut=long hair=not so much coming off with brushing. Seems backwards, but either way I'm glad they both are looking so good.

So after her brushing, Peanut decided to take a rest.

Then she sat up and thought she was in a deserty jungle or something.

Then she moved around to the other step and discovered the catnip plant I planted. Now that I finally got it to grow, it's growing like a weed! She was rubbing her head on and licking the leaves. The first one is the only good shot I got because she kept moving her head (rubbing it) making it blurry in the pics.

I now snip off a piece or two for them every evening. They roll around in it for awhile then all is quiet in the house.

    Nothing like fresh catnip!

I love the pic of her in that "desert" setting.

I had a fresh plant one time and Speckles just ate it and Max hated the smell - picky guy...and when I cut the leaves off it never grew back. It was an indoor plant though. Very frustrating to say the least.

Peanut, you grow sweeter every day and I'm so glad you are enjoying your drugs.....(ohhh, just got another flashback from the 60's )
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
