an Inspiring story. I would never let something like cataracs deter me from a pet. They learn to adapt so well. You made a good choice, because I believe CinnaBun will be a fantastic help as time goes by. He will learn to guide her, if he hasn't started already....

Dear Vanilla Bean...
You are such a lucky, lucky boy to have found such a wonderful home. Congrat's on being named POTD and what an inspiring story.

I recently lost a very old boy that was without a doubt one of the sweetest, gentlest bunnies that ever lived. He is in the middle of the picture below. I had him at least 6 years, got him when he was 2-3 years old, maybe even older than that. In the last 6 months of his life he got cataracts and eventually went completely blind... But he had been with me for so long he absolutely knew where every piece of furniture was and many times I would find him racing around the living room furniture, his ears flapping in the wind, like he could see perfectly. What a guy....... He died, by the way, from old age, his body just gave out....the cataracts had nothing to do with his passing. I only tell you this story to point out that an animal we think has special needs oftentimes can adapt and adapt really well to whatever the problem is. Sometimes I feel bad for the people who want and have "perfect" pets....they don't see the love and companionship or how an animal overcomes, if possible, a physical problem.... It is awe-inspiring to realize that that animal wouldn't let a problem stop him from living life to the fullest.
