Meet our new neighbors, the rhodesian ridgebacks!!

We have a huge field behind our house, and people are walking their dogs back there all day. Well, we were sitting in the living room one night and a dog comes running up on our lawn...so my husband goes outside and finds a Rhodisian Ridgeback on our front step His owner was running behind him (trying to catch him ) She has 2 of them (litter mates)...they are big dogs, and occassionally one will just pull her so hard that the leash just comes with them But they are great friendly dogs and we are so happy to have gottne to meet our new neighbor and her 2 dogs. They are such a beautiful breed!! Anyway, here are some pics of Mocha's soon to be buddies We plan to let them all get to know each other...it will be awesome for her to get to play with them. (4 more weeks and she comes home, yeah!!!)

In the last pic, they are looking in at Guinness and Dandy, sitting at the door. They were great with the cats and the cats didnt even flinch!! Guinness lived with a dog before we got him and Dandy is vey nosy, so i think they will do well when we get Mocha.

    Hope you enjoyed them!

    Robyn

BTW, if you notice something blue on the end of one of their tails...it is a small cast...the one dog stepped on the others tail and it needed to be set in a cast She said it was a mess...i guess they can be clumbsy Silly doggies!

I believe it is a halty and it is pushed up onto his head, instead of on his snout...he doesnt like wearing it and i think, b/c they were just sitting/relaxing, it wasnt in place....

Oh goody, you have already lined up future play dates for Mocha. I am so jealous. Thanks for thinking of getting that camera out when the unexpected visitors arrived. You knew we would have had a fit if you'd have told this story and no pictures.

Robyn, I haven't seen pictures of your new fence yet. Did I miss them?
