    Weight loss

Is it normal to gain 30 some pounds in the winter and lose it all in the summer?

Timber was 95 pounds in the winter but she just got wieghed, and now she's only 61!!

She did have a few love handles in the winter, but nothing major...She looks very thin now, but not gross thin, just healthy thin I suppose. If you saw the pics of her in winter, did she really look that fat???

She is 25 inches at the shoulder, just above the normal hieght for a female german shepherd.

I can't find very good winter pics of her, but here is a recent one...

I think that is alot of weight to lose. Did you wear her on the exact same scale? That alone could account for prolly as much as 10-15 pounds difference.

When was the last time she was at the vet?

Yes, it was the same scale. She went to the vets last week, that's where she was weighed. He says she's healthy But she lost so much weight. We did change her diet, maybe that accounted for some?

That is a ton of weight for a dog to lose. I'd say that the scale needs to be recalibrated.
