    For Jackie

    Jackie,
I love your saying and totally agree with it but this is the proper way to say it in french:

Le plus que je vois d'hommes, le plus que j'aime les chiens.

    Hope you don't mind!

Thanks Tanya, I just looked up the translation to be sure and both ways mean just about the same thing. I believe you are saying the more I love the dogs, I wanted it to say the more I love my dog.

"The more I see of man, the more I love my dog"

Guess it's time for a change anyway.
    maybe spanish?

They both mean the same thing but yours is a a direct translation from English to French. The other one is grammatically correct

Thanks for the correction Tanya, the direct translation works for me.

P.S. Tanya if you care to correct all my grammar on my posts, you will have a full time job.

Sorry if I offended you, Jackie, I was only trying to help. Where I live in Canada we have to be bilingual (French and English)

That's o.k. Tanya, my grandfather came from Canada, Montreal, his name was Fugere. My mother couldn't speak English until she was approx 10 and never did learn to say her prayers in English. Since coming to California when I was 15 and taking Spanish, I lost most of my french which was never that good anyway, my father was English and coming from an old New England family, my Grandmother on my fathers side always insisted when someone asked me my nationality that I say "Yankee". So I guess one would say that I'm a "French Yankee"
You haven't offended me at all, we all have our own opinions and that's what makes this board so unique. However in the future, I think if you have a correction to make I think it would be better if you e-mail that person instead of making a new topic and correcting that person in front of the whole world whether you are right or wrong
