Ethoxyquin

I thought I would post a couple of links about ethoxyquin since Smokey the Elder said he hadn't ever heard of it. I thought others also might not have heard of is. This first link is from an article back in 1992 however the information is rather informational still and scary.

Just want to make the point that many of the brands that are mentioned in this article not an NO LONGER using ethoxyquin as a primary preservative.

As a response to the previous article here is one that supports the idea that ethoxyquin is not as harmful and once possibly thought. I want to show all sides.

These articles are interesting. I currently feed my 3 cats Nutro Complete Care Weight Management Formula. It doesn't list ethoxyquin as an ingredient but I also know that it may still contain some of this. I'm not going to overeact about this since it seems that almost everything we eat or drink has something in it that is bad for us. Thanks for the info.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think the best we can do for ourselves and those we love is to just do what allows us to sleep best at night.
