Prayers Please (already posted in Gen)

I already posted this in general, but I really need the prayers.

    Thank you.

I have faith that things will be OK and I trust God completely.

But I need prayers please. I had to go to the ER again for my stomach pain last Wednesday and they admitted me. They did a CT scan and think my intestines are inflamed. I was out on Friday and my dr. put me on a food sensitivity diet (something that he was pretty positive would make my pain go away). I've addressed the stress in my life and have been feeling good and happy.

Today...my pain is coming back. I need prayers for everything to be treatable in the least evasive way possible. I will most likely be having a colonoscopy. But, I am prepared for that, I can do it. My concern is for what they find.

    Please, please pray for me.

    Thank you!

    Love, Kelly

Good luck, Kelly, I hope everything goes well for you. Do they have any idea what it could be?

My 13 year old neice has Colitis, and she has been in the hospital for it recently. She misses a lot of school, too. She can still eat almost anything she wants (and like most 13 year olds, she loves McDonalds) but she needs medication to keep herself on track.

That's what my mom suggested to the dr. and he said that all stomach disorders are being lumped together in the "Irritable Bowel Syndrome" category...which is stupid, because its now all I hear whenever I'm in pain.

It doesn't make sense that I'm still in pain after adjusting my diet and getting rid of stress. I've never had this pain before...how can it just be IBS?

I'm sorry for venting, I'm just frustrated.

Thank you for your concern and kindness.

I have no thoughts on what it could be, but I did want to say good luck. I really hope everything goes well. I hope they find something because it's always a relief to know what the problem actually is, but I hope it's nothing too serious and can be taken care of/cured easily.

Thoughts and prayers going out to you, hubby and the rest of your family.

Oh Kelly, I'm sorry you're in pain. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to be in pain and the doctors not sure of the cause yet. You'll be in my prayers.

Kelly, I too hope they find a minor problem which can be easily treated. It's nervewrecking not knowing what causes it. Please try your very best to relax and not worry - that will only make it worse. I know it's hard to do, but try!!

I wish you all the best and keeping fingers crossed for you! Good luck!

    We're all here for you.

I have IBS and believe me you can have the pain! They gave me NuLev and it really helps. Good luck and keep everyone posted on test results.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

I agree, that it's dumb to group all stomach disorders under IBS, simply because there are so many different reasons that can cause them.
I would be inclined to think there is more going on that just IBS. It's too easy for some people to say...OH! It's IBS..then slap you with some medication. If the medication and/or diet that's prescribed for you isn't working, perhaps a second opinion is needed. You shouldn't have to suffer with this for so long! Going to a GI specialist might be an option for you before this colonoscopy thing. Did they already rule out cysts or ulcers that could be irritating your bowel/intestines?
Poor you! **hugs** I sure hope something will come through for you soon, because the sooner they figure it out, the sooner it can be treated and the quicker you will be to feeling better! Do let us know what the Doc says. I'll be thinking about ya!

My doctor said that my stomach was to the side, so he didn't think it was an ulcer. I drank milk last night and tonight...so would that rule out an ulcer?

I will keep you posted...I'm still waiting for my dr. to call back. I'll call again at 3:00...

I'm still waiting for him to call me back. But I just spoke with the nurse and she said he isn't ready to do a colonoscopy and that he'll call me soon.

I'm wavering. I don't know what to think...isn't this necessary? Not that I want one...but I would think they'd want to do something.

The only thing that makes this pain go away is the ER, which means shots of morophine or demoral....
