What breed is she? Terriers were bred to be ratters they would go into the burrows and kill the prey and drag it out. some just really get the gene to do it.it can be trained to be crubbed but it takes LOTS of work and Patience

She just happens to have a really strong prey drive. We have a Chow/Huskey mix that doesn't like anything smaller than he is that isn't a canine and we just keep him away from them.

I also have a siberian husky. He has never killed, or attempted to kill anything...but that is because I never allow him to have the CHANCE to do this.

Siberian huskies have a very high prey drive. You need to keep your dog away from smaller animals. NEVER let your husky run loose!

I heard that some dogs tend to become aggressive when they are not socialised with other animals when they were little. I don't know how to socialise older dogs though....

My shiba has a very high prey drive as well, therefore he is NEVER allowed off the leash. Try to keep your dog away from those smaller animals, and maybe it won't happen anymore.

it is not a matter of keeping her on a leash it is the matter of getting her to like other smaller rodent like aniamls....is that possible? there arnt any guineapigs, rabbits, kittens, hamsters, ect that r running loose around outside ..... she is very good off the leash she walks beside me .. i never have a problem with that i trained her well.. i never could assosate her with kittens of hamsters ect when she was a pup for i was in grade 7 and never thought of it then .. My mother and father would have never allowed me to get a hamster ect.. then ... so i dont know what to do.. i am going to call our local trainer tomorrow..
