If you are looking for specific breed information I suggest going to the AKC.org site and doing a search. It will list all Britney clubs that are registered.

Brittany Spaniels are a medium sized dog with a fairly short and light coat. They appear to very intelligent looking in the face and tend to be active and agile. They are very loving and gentle dogs. They are always waiting to do something nice for their owner and remain happy and alert at most times. Being such an intelligent and obedient dog, they are sometimes used hunting woodcock, partridge, and hare. They also have an outstanding instinct for retrieving from water. The brittany spaniel is very adaptable to all types of terrain such as woods, plains or hills and seem to be rather resistant to cold and dampness. Because of its happy character, it is also popular as a companion dog and a family dog. If raised around children they will enjoy their company to the utmost.

    Living Conditions:
Brittany spaniels are not recommended for apartment life. They are very active and energetic dogs and enjoy life much better with plenty of acreage.

    Care and Grooming:
Brittanys are a generally low maintenance dog. A regular brushing of the coat is all that is needed to keep it in good condition. They tend to shed lightly between seasons and should be bathed and shampooed when necessary. Skilled trimming of the coat is needed for proper show grooming.

    Exercise:
Brittany's love exercise and have an excellent stamina. They need alot of exercise and do best with an active outdoor owner and/or hunter.

This breed is generally healthy although some are prone to hip dysplasia and seizures.
