LabLuver - Hehe, that Tractor song is *AWESOME*! I love it.. one of my favorites by Kenny.. one of the best songs he sings at the concerts!!!

Here's one by Kenny - a real fun song - "How Forever Feels"

Big orange ball, sinkin` in the water.
Toes in the sand, couldn`t get much hotter.
    Little umbrella shaped margaritas
    Coconut oil, tan senioritas
Now I know how Jimmy Buffet feels.

Hands on the wheel, cruisin` down the interstate
Gas pedal sticks, carries my car away
I was going fast as a Rambler goes
I could feel the speed from my head to my toes
Now I know how Richard Petty feels

I`ve been around the block a time or two
Done almost everything a boy can do
I`ve done some livin`, yeah I`ve had fun
But there is one thing that I haven`t done

Saved two months, bought a little diamond
Tonights the night, feels like perfect timin`
Down on one knee on momma`s front steps,
Man I`m gonna die if she really says yes

I wanna know how forever feels

I`ve been around the block a time or two
Done almost everything a boy can do
I`ve done some livin`, yeah I`ve had fun
But there is one thing that I haven`t done

I wanna know how forever feels
Hey, I wanna know how forever feels
Girl, I wanna know how forever feels
You're the one sure thing I've found so you better stick around...

I like Wolves, by garth brooks, and ummm the Dance!
Heres another by i forgot who-

    What If Shes an Angel

    There's a man
    Standin' on the corner
With a sign sayin' will work for food
You know the man, you see him every morning
The one you never give your money to
You can sit there with your window rolled up
Wonderin' when the lights gonna turn green
Never knowin' what a couple more bucks
    in his pocket might mean

    CHORUShe's)
What if he's/she's an angel sent here from heaven
And he's/she's makin' certain that your doing your best
To take the time to help one another
Brother are you gonna pass that test
You can go on with your day-to-day
Tryin' to forget what you saw on his face
Knowin' deep down you could of been his saving grace
    What if he's an angel

    There's a man and there's a women
Livin' right above you in apartment G
There's alot of noise coming from the ceiling
And it don't sound like harmony
You can sit there with your TV turned up
While the words in his anger flush
Come tomorrow when you see her with her shades on
Can you look her in the eye?

    CHORUSshe's)

    Little girl
    On daddy's lap
Hiding her disease with a baseball cap
    You can turn the channel
    Most people do
But what if you were sittin' her daddy's shoes?

    CHORUSshe's)

Because I am pretty old lots of songs have stuck with me and inspired me, but the song, that still speaks to me is the song Amy (Wolf Q) wrote about, One, by U2, this one line in particular.

We`re one, but we`re not the same,
we get to carry each other,
    carry each other.
    One.

    Few new ones..

"I Love You This Much" - Jimmy Wayne

    He can't remember
    The times that he thought
    Does my daddy love me?
    Probably not
    That didn't stop him
    From wishing that he did
    Didn't keep him from wanting
    Or worshipping him
    He guesses he saw him
    About once a year
He could still feel the way he felt
    Standing in tears
    Stretching his arms out
    As far as they'd go
    Whispering dad
    I want you to know

CHORUS: I love you this much
    And I'm waiting on you
    To make up your mind
    Do you love me too?
    How ever long it takes
I'm never giving up no matter what
    I love you this much

He grew to hate him for what he had done
    'Cause what kind of father
Could do that to his son?
    He said 'damn you daddy'
    The day that he died
    The man didn't blink
    But the little boy cried

    CHORUS

    Half way through the service
While the choir sang a hymn
He looked up at the preacher
And he sat and stared at him
    He said
    'Forgive me father'
    When he realized
    That he hadn't been unloved
    Or alone all his life
    His arms were stretched out
    As far as they go
    Nailed to the cross
For the whole world to know

    CHORUS

    Paper Angels - Jimmy Wayne

After every day-after-Thanksgiving sale the malls just ain't complete
Without a bunch of decorations and a paper angel tree
There's artificial smiles on artificial tree limbs
Saying what she'd love to have and what to buy for him
Well I hope Maggie likes her new winter clothes and her buggy with a baby
    Doll
And maybe Tom'll smile in his new Nike shoes when he shoots that
    Basketball
I can't help but wishing that I could so more
But not just while I'm shopping in the department store

CHORUS: Paper angels you're in my thoughts and prayers
No matter where you are right now remember God's right there
He's asking all of us to help take care
    Of his paper angels everywhere

Going through the mail almost every afternoon I see a Mom and Dad's
    Worst dream
There on the back of a money-saving ad to get my carpet cleaned
Height, weight, hair, eyes, date missing, and DOB
A child's name, a picture, and the words 'have you seen me?'

    CHORUS

His documented bruises fill a folder in a file
    She's a second grade self-portrait drawn without a smile
And every town is littered with this kind of debris
We've got to stop this madness and it's up to you and me

    CHORUS

When I first found out I was pregnant, this song came to mind.....

    Creed

    "With Arms Wide Open"

Well I just heard the news today
It seems my life is going to change
I closed my eyes, begin to pray
Then tears of joy stream down my face

    With arms wide open
    Under the sunlight
    Welcome to this place
    I'll show you everything
    With arms wide open
    With arms wide open

    Well I don't know if I'm ready
To be the man I have to be
I'll take a breath, I'll take her by my side
We stand in awe, we've created life

    With arms wide open
    Under the sunlight
    Welcome to this place
    I'll show you everything
    With arms wide open
    Now everything has changed
    I'll show you love
    I'll show you everything
    With arms wide open
    With arms wide open
I'll show you everything ...oh yeah
    With arms wide open..wide open

    [Guitar Break]

If I had just one wish
    Only one demand
I hope he's not like me
    I hope he understands
That he can take this life
And hold it by the hand
And he can greet the world
    With arms wide open...

    With arms wide open
    Under the sunlight
    Welcome to this place
    I'll show you everything
    With arms wide open
    Now everything has changed
    I'll show you love
    I'll show you everything
    With arms wide open
    With arms wide open
    I'll show you everything..oh yeah
    With arms wide open....wide open

I listen to the acoustic version of it and get teary eyed....love that song!!!

I can't think of the song title, but there is a song by Creed that just gives me the chills. He wrote it when he found out that his wife was pregnant. It's about how he's scared and hopes he gives his baby a better life.

*Lmao. I just wrote this and then scrolled up to the very post above me. That's the one!
