    Fabulous Finch!

Dearest Finch, you are fabulous indeed! What a gorgeous guy you are! Your brown Tabby and white fur is so pretty, in such an interesting design and combination of colors. What a sweet face you have, with that cute pink nose and those lovely big eyes. Thank you for sharing all those wonderful photos with us! What an amazing album you've posted, showing you in so many different poses and locations and activities and outfits. You are clearly very comfortable and content in every one of them. I wish I could reach through the screen and up over to Waite Park, MN to pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me .

And what a terrific story you have to tell! Five years ago you were up for adoption at a national pet store chain. People thought you were too old at age 10, but then your dear Purrrson-to-be came along. You weren't too old for him/her! You adopted each other, and home you went. You have the most delightful Purrrsonality! You're laid-back, friendly, playful, and a real people cat. You're full of energy, and you love to play with your toys and to sit close to your Purrrson and be petted. Your favorite routine is "beddy-bye" for you two going to bed together each night. And even better than that, you love to be outside in your covered balcony in the nice summer weather and watch the action, anything that moves. You even have a screen to go into and out of the balcony whenever you want. How nice that you, your Purrrson's favorite cat, were named Mr. Finch after her/his favorite bird! You two love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Finch, on being chosen Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

And many, many thanks to your dear, dear Purrrson for opening her/his heart to a dear, dear older gentleman, YOU, dear Finch, at adoption time! This has indeed turned out to be the match made in heaven, Purrrrfect for both of you!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Like all cats, he loves chasing the red dot especially when it is on a wall where he can jump up and swat at it. He loves to be petted. Finch always sits close to me.

Finch's favorite routine is "beddy-bye." When I say "Beddy-bye!" he starts meowing non-stop. When I get into bed at night, I lay on my side and move the pillow so there is a space for him to lie down. Once I am settled, I pat the bed and say "Kitty, kitty, kitty." He jumps up and lays down on his spot next to the pillow. As soon as I rub his belly he stops meowing and he purrs and makes cute trill sounds.

There is one thing Finch likes better than beddy-bye, being outside in the summer. He is an indoor cat and is afraid if I put him on the grass. But I live in a third-floor apartment and have a covered balcony. There is a hanging screen so he can let himself out whenever he wants, in the summer, that's every day. He feels safe and loves to watch the "action." Whether it's birds, dogs, people, squirrels or anything else that moves.

Yes, a finch is a bird! I named my favorite cat after my favorite bird! Somehow, he got nicknamed Mr. Finch. I usually just call him "Cat."
Hello, Finch! What a handsome tabby and white kitty you are! I like your sweet face, and your cute pink nosie!

I smiled when I read about your "beddy-bye" routine, in which your person makes a place for you and you respond by taking your spot, purring and trilling! You go outdoors on the balcony to keep track of all that's going on. You play with your toy mousie, and you love to receive petting! Best of all you are a greatly loved kitty! PURRRRR-fect!

Happy, happy Cat of the day to dear Finch!

I've not been on here for years!

But I had to update some contact details and stopped by to say hello to Finch because he is so much like Cara my tabby. The leg stretch on the bed and the climbing into the box. Similar markings and about the same age, too. Enjoy your day of fame, Finch!
