Dearest Dolly, you are darling indeed! What a beautiful Guinea Pig mix lady you are, with that colorful long-haired coat that looks so soft, and that sweet face with those long white whiskers and lovely big dark eyes! And what a wonderful story you have to tell! You and your dear sister Molly were rescued from a horrible pet shop. You and Molly were in a small cage with larger rabbits jumping all over you. You'd bravely venture out to protect your smaller sister. Your courage impressed your dear people-to-be, who bought you both. My very deepest thanks to those wonderful people for saving you and Molly and bringing you to your true HOME! Their dear older piggy Tammy adopted you both and raised you as her own babies, teaching you all the things that piggies need to know. You settled in quickly and grew to be beautiful, loving pets.
You live in the house, with a nighttime cage and a daytime cage, and you love to exercise in the garden or conservatory. You're very confident, in charge of the group. You say "thanks" with your paw when you're offered a treat or given your food. And a few months ago, another dear piggy, Peppa, joined the family. You promptly adopted her and have become like her mother. You and your people and other guinea pigs all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Dolly, on being chosen Pet of the Day! We hope you and your dear Molly and Tammy and Peppa and people and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
