    Stunning Julie!

Dearest Julie, you are stunning indeed! What a beautiful mature lady you are, with that long, fluffy Tortoiseshell-mix fur that is so regal and looks so soft. And what a sweet face you have, with those long, LOOONG whiskers and that dark fur over your forehead and between your lovely big eyes. You are absolutely gorgeous sitting up there so proudly! I wish I could reach through the screen and across the ocean to Manchester, England, in the UK to pet you. And I would love to brush that luxurious fur, if you would choose to let me. I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you and brush you for me .

What a story you have to tell! You used to live with a family a few houses down, but about seven years ago you walked in one day to the future home you chose. The Purrrsons there brought you back to your original home, but you just kept coming back in spite of being returned. Finally your original people told the new ones that they might as well keep you, as you'd clearly made your choice! And you settled right in and have never left.

You have the most delightful Purrrsonality! You're special for surviving to age 21 so far, the oldest cat your dear Purrrsons have ever known. You're cute and you know it, and you can be quite manipulative. And how can they resist? You've had them wrapped right around your furry little paws ever since! You all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Julie, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrsons and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
