Hi Elvis! Happy Pet of the Day to you, sweetheart!
What a stunning Polish Crested Chicken you are, Elvis! Yes indeed, your amazing head feathers truly do rival any of those storied hair band 'dos from the 80's! But do you do spandex? Honestly Elvis, I just can't get enough of your photos!!! You're so incredibly beautiful, so unique in your feathering, your coloring and markings; your spikey 'do; your magnificent tail and that adorable face! Now, time to get to work on that "crow!" hehe And though you may not be the cuddliest boy, me thinks deep down you truly do cherish those occasional cuddles sessions you share with your humans!
A true gentleman at heart, a friend to all, that you are! How special can one rooster be!Like most roosters, he tries to avoid being handled, and will dodge away from any hands that reach for him. If you manage to catch him, however, he doesn't put up a fight, and will even fall asleep while cradled in your arms, making contented little chicken noises.
He is a gentleman of a rooster, always polite and respectful to the other chickens, and never kicking up a fuss, even with the other boys.
How very lucky your humans are, Elvis, having a beautiful feathered family member in you! You may not have come as advertised, a hen. But what you make lack in egg laying you more than make up for in your incredible beauty, your charm and heart! Endless thanks to your family for sparing you an unspeakable fate, cherishing you for the very special boy that you are! You're the best!!!
Thanks for the BIG smiles, sweetheart! Meeting you today, reading your human's heartwarming tribute, being treated to your fab photos has been such fun! I hope you're treated to a very special Pet of the Day celebration...taking a soothing dust bath, foraging for bugs and munching on some yummy grass; spending fun time roosting outdoors with your besties Tina Eggturner, Buck Buck Bjork, and Aretha Chicken, hehe; maybe even enjoying some cuddle time with your humans! Lots of love to you, beautiful, amazing Elvis, our very special and most deserving Pet of the Day, EVERY day!!! Love to dear Tina Eggturner, Buck Buck Bjork, and Aretha the Chicken!!!Although we purchased him with the expectation of being a laying hen, Elvis has nothing to fear. An ill-tempered rooster would be destined for the stew pot elsewhere, but Elvis is far too charming and handsome for such a fate. He has a permanent place in our flock--and our hearts.
Amazing Elvis!!!
