    Glaucoma in Cats

A friend of mine here in Vermont has an elderly kitty, Dewey, age 15, who has glaucoma. She would love input from others who have dealt with this, as she worries he is in pain despite the drops, and does not ant to prolong his life if it is a miserable one. He doesn't even want to be petted now, and has always been a love sponge.

Any Pet Talkers have experience with this?

Oh, how sad. No, though I've had so many cats over the years, none with glaucoma. Maybe someone else has. Did she call the vet to ask about the pain?

I haven't had any experience with glaucoma in the cats I've had over the years.

I agree, your friend should call the vets and check with them about Dewey's pain. I hope they can prescribe something more effective than those drops seem to be.

Sending love and warm healing energies to Dewey...

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
