Dear Calli!

Calli was a two-month-old kitten when we adopted her from the local animal shelter, and she has been an important member of the household ever since. Being an early riser, she often takes it upon herself to motivate those of us who are less inclined to dash forth at daybreak.

She loves to sit on the porch on warm, sunny days, but grumbles at the sound of thunder before slinking under a bed until the storm has passed.

Although "middle age" has somewhat mellowed her feisty juvenile behavior (she no longer climbs the Christmas tree), she still loves to play, and is obsessed with chasing any bugs that may get into the house.

She helps us with our chores (e.g. making the bed), and has developed an unrecorded language that consists largely of numerous variations on "wrowl".

We are very thankful to have such a dear little companion.

What a gorgeous lady you are! I like your sweet face, the areas of color on your white fur; and your cute white pawsies with the pink pads! You are a beautiful kitty, as all the pictures show! I would be honored to pet you-- but since I can't, I hope your people will give you some extra pats and snuggles for me.

You are an important member of your household! You provide wake-up services to those who would prefer to stay in bed. You help with making the bed and other chores! (Or perhaps you supervise -- uh, suPURRvise ) You chase a bug that might get into the house, and you are a playful kitty! You go outdoors and enjoy time on the porch when the weather is fine; but you wait out a storm under the bed. You have lots to say with many variations on "wrowl"! I would gladly sit and have a conversation with you about whatever you'd like to discuss, or help you play with your favorite toy!

Best of all-- you are a gorgeous and greatly loved kitty! PURRRRRfect!

Dearest Calli, what a beautiful lady you are! That Dilute Calico fur is so pretty and looks so soft, and what a sweet face you have with that light-brown mustache and those lovely big pale-green eyes. Thank you for sharing all those delightful photos with us. What a fantastic album this is, so many different views of beautiful you! I wish I could reach through the screen and down to Columbus to pet you. I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet you for me .

And what a delightful Purrrsonality you have! You're an early riser and have the important job of getting your dear Purrrsons up each morning to perform vital tasks such as serving the cat food. You joined your family at age two months when they adopted you from a shelter. We thank your Purrrsons for choosing rescue, and we thank the shelter people for saving you and getting you together with your Purrrsons! Now at age seven you've slowed down some from your feisty juvenile behavior. Even though you no longer climb the Christmas tree, you still love playing and chasing any bugs that get into the house. You help your Purrrsons with household tasks such as making the bed. You carry on conversations with them in your native language consisting of numerous variations on "wrowl". Your Purrrsons are very grateful for such a dear little companion! You and they all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Be still my heart! Your fabulous photo spread has me in total swoon mode! What a beautiful, oh so photogenic Calico girl you are, Calli! That shot of your wee self, nesting in the Christmas tree, doing your best ornament impression is the best! And as has been said, your dilute Calico coloring is exquisite, and how special are your markings! I just love your mask! hehe

I so enjoyed reading your proud pawrent's tribute, Calli, giving us but a glimpse into your carefree, love filled, wonderful life! If anyone need proof of just how rewarding rescue can be they just need read your mom/dad's heartwarming tribute! How lucky they are, having a furkid as beautiful, as sweet and loving, as special as you, Calli! You're a gem, beautiful inside and out, simply the best!
