Dearest Joshua, you are stunning indeed! What a gorgeous Shaded Silver Persian fellow you are! Thank you for sharing that great photo with us. Your thick, long, fluffy fur is absolutely luxurious, and what a sweet face you have, with those those faint tabby-like markings and lovely big amber eyes. You are so noble and distinguished, sitting up proudly in your garden and watching for bugs! I wish I could reach through the screen and across the ocean to London to pet you, and pet your little sister, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Peter will pet you both for me .
And what a terrific story you have to tell! You were born on Christmas Day, and what a Purrrfect Christmas present you were, and always will be, for dear Peter and all your family and friends! You have the most delightful Purrrsonality. You charm everyone you meet, and you've been a special gift to them all, even people who claim they "don"t like cats." And you are extra special, the best-ever big brother, looking after your dear little sister so well. You're training her in the art of how to be a good kitty; teaching her all about the house, the garden, and the whole world. She couldn't ask for better instruction and guidance, could she! You and she and Peter all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Joshua, on being chosen Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Peter and little sister and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
