    Precious Pip!

Hi Pip from Oz! Happy Dog of the Day to you, sweetheart!

I chuckled, reading your mom describe you as a "failed" Border Collie!
Oh no, hardly failed! More like pawsitively perfect inside and out! Beautiful in looks with a heart of gold, loving and faithful to fault, a friend to all, that you are, Pip! What more could a family hope for in a furry family member!

Endless thanks to your family for saving you from the unspeakable, welcoming you into their home and hearts, providing you with all the love your heart could hold and all the vet care required to heal you. It's wonderful to hear how handily you've bounced after your surgery, your skull fracture! You may now be a tad hard of hearing, but it's clear that small challenge hasn't kept you from enjoying life to its fullest, savoring every minute of your active and adventure packed life to the max! Your joyful, indomitable spirit, your unbridled zest for life is truly an inspiration to us all! How lucky your family is, having a furkid as special as you in their lives! You truly are a treasure, Pip, the poster girl for doggie adoption, simply the best!

Thanks for the BIG smiles, Pip! Meeting you today, reading your mom's heartwarming tribute to her beautiful girl, your rags to riches rescue story has been pure joy! I hope you enjoy a very special Dog of the Day celebration, sweetheart...spending some fun time on the beach and playing a little soccer; meeting up with your pup pals for a playdate; taking a nice, long nap; being loved and pampered to pieces by your devoted humans! Lots of love, hugs and kisses to you, brave, beautiful Pip, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, EVERY day!!!

Dearest Pip, you are adorable and precious! I am so very glad and very grateful that your dear person-to-be rescued you just before you were to be put down at age 8 months! You had some medical issues, which were treated. You came out a bit hard of hearing, but you love the beach and have loved life ever since. You love playing soccer and running slowly and napping and having play dates with other friends' doggies. You are such a faithful and lovely dog, and you and your dear person love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Pip, on being chosen Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear person and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
