Dearest Chadwyck, you are adorable! What a gorgeous laid-back Dalmatian/Lab mix Santa you are there in sunny California! Your first Dad was a Marine Sergeant with whom you wrestled and played all the time. When he was away with the Marines, you'd jump the fence and play on the beach. You wound up at the pound after one of those adventures, so your dear Dad decided you needed a home that could give you the Dalmatian-type attention you needed. You met your current housemates there, and your Marine Dad sadly decided to part with you. Now you have a retired Greyhound sister name Gracie, a cat, Ivan, to chase, a parrot, Jaco Jr., to bark at, and plenty of Frisbee time! Life just got better! You taught Gracie to play tug of war (and you always win). You and they and your people all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Chadwyck, on being chosen today's Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear Gracie and Ivan and Jaco Jr. and people and Marine Dad and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite treats and games, maybe another round of tug of war with Gracie!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
