    R.I.P. little Churro
Your last two years were no doubt your best years.
I also rescue only seniors and they are the best.
    You are proof of that.
The only bad part is we don't have them long enough

I know there was a huge fiesta going on in heaven for Churro when he passed! Such a sweet darling who loved his Mum and was SO adorable and left too soon! ❤️💕

Dearest Churro, what a beautiful Chihuahua you are, so pretty in those great photos. It's so nice to see you with your dear Mom in the one! And what a sweet, touching story you have to tell. You came to your Mom as a rescue, and you and she had two wonderful years together. We're so sorry you were lost to congestive heart failure at age twelve. Our deepest sympathy to Mom, who loves and misses you so very much.

Now you are a glorious Angel at the Rainbow Bridge, whole and healthy again, watching over your dear Mom with love. Please send some Angelic whispers to her heart to reassure her that all is well, you are with her always, and you will be together again, One Fine Day..

Congratulations, darling Churro, on being chosen today's Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear Mom and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and precious memories and all your favorite games and treats. We know the other Angels are rejoicing with you at the Bridge!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Precious Angel Churo

Oh, what a beautiful Chi baby you were, Churro. such a brave boy, a fighter and survivor! We can only imagine how a senior came to find himself homelesls, languishing in a shelter in such a deplorable state.:( Unfortunately, the chance that even a healthy senior will find his/her way out of a shelter is slim. But blessedly Carla and the wonderful people at SNAP came to your rescue, pulling you from that shelter, assuring that for all of your remaining days you would be loved unconditionally by that forever human destined to be yours. And oh, what a beautiful bond of love and trust you and she forged.

Carla at The SNAP rescue (Spay Neuter Action Project) pulled Churro on my behalf. His exam showed he had a low grade heart murmur, collapsed trachea and a hernia. In addition he needed 18 teeth pulled and a neuter. Carla advised this may be a hospice situation, but I was blessed to have almost two full years with my boy.
We are so comforted knowing that for those 2 wonderful years you knew nothing but peace, comfort and unconditional love, Churro; spending fun time shopping and visiting the Ballast Point Brewery; riding shotgun on those Amazon delivery routes, even sharing a yummy nachos lunch in Old Town.

Yes, you truly were one lucky boy, Churro, but I have no doubt your Mom would say it is she who was the luckiest of all, having known your love and devotion those wonderful 2 years. Just as your Mom says, there is little in life more rewarding than opening up one's home and heart to a senior, and hopefully after reading your Mom's love filled tribute others will consider adopting a senior too, a pup as special as you!

It was his time to go. He has a special place in my heart. I have no regrets taking care of this senior boy until his last breath and I would do it all over again.
    To Churro's Mom~

Thank you for sharing your brave, beautiful boy with us, giving us the chance to honor his indomitable spirit, the very special bond you and he shared. I'm so sorry he was taken from you so soon.:( But thanks to you, your selflessness, Churro left for the Rainbow Bridge having known a lifetime's worth of love, waiting patiently there until that happy day when you and he are together once more.:love::love:
