Dearest Gunther, what a beautiful Desert Tortoise you are! You're so happy devouring some kale in those great photos, and thank you for sharing them with us. You're delightful in your "party hat" in the second one! And what a terrific story you have to tell. You nearly drowned in the sudden torrent of a rainstorm, but your new persons-to-be saved you. They caught you and and brought you to your new Forever home, where you live very happily. You love to explore, and you know the best trick of all: being the cutest tortoise around! You and your family members all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

We are so thankful to your young human, to your family for rescuing you from that frightening flood, and just in the nick of time, providing you safe refuge, a happy, carefree and love filled life! You may not have been a planned addition to the family, but for sure it was destined to be! And what with you Desert Tortoises enjoying such incredibly long lifespans, so many more wonderful years of shared love and companionship for you and your family! How lucky your humans are, having a best friend as beautiful, as unique, as special as you, Gunther! You truly are a treasure, a gem, and so very deserving of your big day in the spotlight!
