Thanks everyone. No phone calls yet so I guess he's doing okay!

Cat Daddy, about 2 1/2 years ago Cole had mast cell cancer in his spleen and it was moving into the liver. (The lungs were clear, thanks God!).

He's stayed on chemo - Palladia is used in dogs and cats for mast cell cancer and it's very effective.

This latest tumour, about 1cm in size, is on his lip. My regular vet is doing the surgery. Cole's oncologist isn't worried about all the margins as these little tumours don't reappear. She is not changing his dose of chemo either.

    Fingers crossed.

My stoned darling is home! Dr. Becky phoned me earlier today and told me Cole was a trooper - he did really well through the whole surgery.

Thank you for all the good wishes and prayers - they worked!

    Quick summing up:

The pathology test on the tumour is to determine how quickly the little bustards are splitting and multiplying. Rage is 1 to 5. Cole was a 1.

His oncologist was really pleased with that result. We'll continue with the regular meds and follow-up appointments.

Oh, and he got his stitches out last week.

Excellent news, Cole and Candace! Keep on keeping on! And how nice to get those stitches out, too.

We're sending more good wishes and healing energies and all to you both.
