Darling Dusty!
Dearest Dusty, what a gorgeous Orange boy you are! You are so beautiful with that orange and white fur that looks so soft, and what a sweet face you have with those white whiskers and orange-pink nose and lovely big golden eyes. You look so stately and and noble and proud in those great photos, and thank you for sharing them with us. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Placerville, CA to pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrents will pet you for me .
And what a terrific story you have to tell, too! Your dear Purrrents love you so very much and feel like you need their special protection and care. You turned up at your dear Dad-to-be's construction site when you were just a kitten. You were covered with grease from being around all the machinery. How lucky that Dad found you and brought you home! With a couple of baths, you cleaned right up. You have a crooked tail, which contributes to some balance and coordination problems. You cannot jump well, and you fall off things, but you are an expert fetching cat. When someone says the word "toy," your eyes light up and you're ready to fetch! You are very sweet and love to sleep between Meowmie and Dad. You add sunshine to their lives, and you all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Dusty, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrents and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite treats and games, maybe a special round of fetch!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
