    Hunky Handsome Duke!

Hi Duke! Happy Dog of the Day!

What a hunky handsome boy you are, Duke! With all of those awesome breeds in your lineage you truly are the quintessential Heinz 57/"All American," though as your mom says, my first guess was Bloodhound!

What a lucky boy you are, Duke, living there in Calumet, Michigan, the perfect spot where an energetic, adventure loving pup such as yourself can indulge all of him loves...visiting your cabin and hiking those mountain trails, swimming in the summer, enjoying all of that snow come wintertime...pulling those bobsleds! What a life!!! But no doubt it's sharing all of those fun times with your humans that you cherish most of all! How blessed your family is, having a beautiful, life and people loving furkid and best friend for life in you! You're just as special as they come, Duke, simply the best, and so very deserving of your big day in the spotlight!

Thanks for the BIG smiles, Duke! Meeting you today has been a real treat! I hope you're enjoying a very special, adventure filled day of celebration, taking a nice long walk, playing with your kitty and doggie siblings, spending fun time with your family, being loved and pampered to pieces! Lots of love, hugs and kisses to you, beautiful Duke, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, EVERY day! Love to your doggie and kitty pals, too!

    SO handsome!!!

    Star,Tigg'r , Mollie and the10 Gallon Gang!

And my Rainbow Bridge Furangels...Jingles, Cody, Fritz, Chessa, Satin, Buddy, Lizzie, Oliver, Squeaker, Moonbeam, Rosie, Ruby~

Here's Duke, the Yooper Dog! (NOTE to non-Michiganders: Yoopers are inhabitants of the Upper Peninsula, or "U.P.") Dearest Duke, What a gorgeous Husky, German Shepherd, Bloodhound, Rhodesian Ridgeback mix guy you are! You are so good-looking in both of those great photos, and thank you for sharing them with us. You look so comfortable, and you have such a sweet face with the look of love in those lovely big dark eyes. I wish I could reach through the screen and up to Calumet to pet you, and pet your doggie and kitty housemates, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved people will pet you all for me .

And what a delightful personality you have, too! You love to play all day with your doggie and kitty housemates. You especially love the winter, when your Husky side really comes out. You get so excited when the snows come and you can pull people on bobsleds! You enjoy meeting people at your family's cabin and going to the mountains and the beach to take lots of walks. You and your dear people all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Duke, on being chosen today's Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear people and doggie and kitty housemates and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
