Miyoko was trapped at a feral cat feeding station in a rural county in Virginia. We transported her to a cooperating veterinary clinic where she was spayed, eartipped, vaccinated and returned to her trap to await her return to the wild. But something happened between trapping her and transporting her back to the feral colony where she came from. We bonded and became best buds.

Miyoko came home with me ten years ago and has been a member of the family ever since. She's the smartest and most self-sufficient cat I've ever known and has enjoyed every luxury known to cats and humankind alike, including having her own exclusive cottage to live in, a pool to relax beside, any number of trees to climb and a lovely waterside dock to watch the river flow. The name Miyoko in Japanese means ā€œbeautiful childā€ - she is that and so much more!
Hello, gorgeous Miyoko in Virginia! Happy Cat of the Day!

You are a very beautiful child indeed! Your fur looks so smooth and soft to pet! I like your gem-like green eyes too!

You were part of a feral cat group, and your group was being fed and watched over. You started out in the trap and return program, but you and your forever person bonded! You joined the family and came Home!

Now you have your own cottage, trees to climb, and a dock to observe the river! You are smart and self-sufficient - I wonder if that is from your time in the feral cat group. No matter, you are a greatly loved kitty! And a very gorgeous one, too!

Happy, happy Cat of the Day to stunningly beautiful Miyoko!

I can take care of my claws on this tree!
