    Incredibly sweet Idgie

Dear Idgie, what a beautiful and fluffy girl you are. You look so soft, and your face is gorgeous.
I can definitely see the Maine Coon in you, even in your adorable baby picture.
I am sorry about the rough start you had in life. Luckily, this incredibly caring person came along to take care of you.
She nursed you back to health, and you paid her back when she had a horrible migraine attack.
This sealed the deal, and ever since, you two have been inseparable.
Idgie, you are a special and precious girl, and I wish you and your family a great day full of celebration, and many more happy and healthy years together.

Dearest Idgie, you are gorgeous! What a stunning Maine-Coon-mix lady you are, an utterly adorable baby who has grown up to be an utterly adorable house lion! Thank you for sharing those great photos of you then and now with us. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Ontario to pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me .

And what a delightful, touching story you have to tell! You were found as a kitten under a dumpster one late November day. Your dear Purrrson-to-be agreed to take you in for one night and then, after you saw the vet the next day, look after you until your medical needs were taken care of. You kept hidden under the bed for a long time, but she/he was patient, knowing that you don't force such an issue with a cat. He/she talked and sang to you a lot, but you stayed hidden.. until one day, she/he stretched out on the bed with a rare migraine. And the next thing, you were up on her back, purring and pushing your face into just the right spot to provide relief from the pain! She fell asleep, then awoke hours later, feeling much better, to find you were still there, purring away. Later that night, after you had your dried-fish dinner under the bed, you came out from hiding. You and your dear Purrrson have been inseparable ever since! You love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful tale of how you rescued each other, and what a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Idgie, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Hello, Idgie up on Ontario! Happy Cat of the Day!

What a gorgeous lady you are! Your fur looks so fluffy and soft! You were a darling small kitty, and you are a very beautiful grown-up kitty! I hope your person will give you some extra pats and lovies for me today.

You had a very difficult start in life, out by yourself in the cold. Your person agreed to take care of you while you were under doctor's care. You stayed under the bed for quite awhile, but your person was very patient. Then one day your person had a very bad migraine - and you did exactly what was necessary ! Shortly after that, you decided that everything was A-Okay! You like dried fish, being sung to, napping, and dried fish! From your picture I am guessing you like having the sunshine on your fur and a nibble of kitty grass too PURR-fect! You rescued each other, and as my friend Phesina has said, what a love-filled home you share!

Happy, happy Cat of the Day to beautiful Idgie!

    Idgie the Beautiful

Great story. I love how cats always seem to understand when we are feeling miserable and come to the rescue with purrs. They say cats purr sometimes to comfort themselves and I think that's why it works so well to comfort their humans too. Thanks for telling us about Idgie.
