You are a brave soul, standing up to dogs, and you still have spurts of kitten energy. You also like to cuddle, and, of course, you like to hear how handsome you are.

It sounds like you are quite the cuddle bug, and your content purring can heard across the room. I bet your mom loves to tuck in where ever you choose to sleep.

I see you have another kitty to hang out with, too, but if dogs get a little too friendly, you will stand up to them - brave boy you are!

Hi Dexter! Happy Cat of the Day!

What a handsome, dashing and dapper, sleek and shiny panther boy you are, Dexter! Hard to believe you're 17 years young, Dexter! You don't look, or act, half your age; a kitten at heart! That said...

I got Dexter 16 years ago while I was in high school. The family had never had cats, and I didn't ask if they wanted one. I ended up sneaking Dexter in through my bedroom window one afternoon, and he lived in my room unnoticed for over two weeks! By the time my mom found him, my family had no choice but to accept him.

I like your mom's style! No easy feat, keeping a kitty hidden from the parents for even a few days! Have to admit, my brother and I secreted more than a few kitties and critters into the house back in the day! But honestly, after having laid claims to your digs after those first couple of weeks, how could your mom's parents say no! And how well you've repaid your mom's guts and tenacity, her devotion, bringing so much love to her life these past many years, with hopefully many more yet to come! How lucky she is, having a beautiful, loyal and loving fur son in you! You truly are a treasure, Dexter, one in a million, a Cat of a Lifetime!

Thanks for ending my day with a BIG smile, sweetheart! Meeting you this evening, seeing your heart-melting photos, learning of the unbreakable bond you and your mommy share, has been pure joy! Dearest Dexter, what a stunning black beauty you are! You are absolutely gorgeous in all those great photos, and thank you for sharing them with us. They capture so many different looks and moods, all of them PURRRfect! I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Madison to pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me .
