Dearest Juliet, what a beautiful young lady you are! That long, fluffy, tabby-patterned fur is so pretty and looks so soft, and what a sweet face you have with those long, LOOOONG white whiskers and eyebrows, and those lovely big yellow-green eyes. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You are adorable in them both. I wish I could reach through the screen and down to Greensboro, NC to pet you, and pet your two young boy kitty playmates and your older sister kitty too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you all for me .
And what a delightful story you have to tell! You, a young kitten, just showed up one day, rubbed against your Dad-to-be's leg, and walked into the house as if you had always been there. You've been living there with your dear family ever since! This was a month after they'd lost their beloved Romeo (and we bet Romeo Angel had something to do with you arriving there then). You like to lay in the same spot on the bed as Romeo did, so clearly your name was Juliet.
You have been living happily there with your dear family ever since! You are very quiet and also very playful, playing with your boy kitty housemates and your older kitty sister whom you watch a lot. You play with everything you see and sometimes knock fragile items over, but then you look up at your dear Purrrson with your big eyes, and he/she can't be mad! You are one of the sweetest cats she/he has ever known, and you and your family members, human and feline, all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Juliet, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear kitty housemates and Purrrsons and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats. We know Romeo Angel and all the other Angels are rejoicing with you.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
