    Scratch this!

Yesterday, I replaced the scratch pad in one of the scratchers.
I discarded the bag with catnip that came with it, because the kitties become aggressive under the influence.
I didn't realize the pad was already infused with catnip.
At first, Olive went nuts over it. No harm in that.

A couple of hours later, I found this. Monroe had licked a hole into the scratchpad all the way through!!! It was a nasty, sloppy mess.

Monroe gets lots of pats, because he's so destructive. After 10 years of mayhem, I would not trade him for the world. And I don't believe that anybody else would put up with him!

Oh, Monroe, what a fine job you've done there! Kitties all around the world are applauding, I'm sure.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
