What a pretty Tuxedo girl you are! Your coat is beautiful with that white chest and you a cute pink nose and the sweetest face!

I’m so glad your family chose you at the SPCA, but no wonder they fell in love with you! And you trusted them immediately and climbed into their arms.

Once you came home, you didn’t have to sit in a cage any longer. Now you spend your time playing fetch, cuddling up in bed with your family and watch the wildlife from the window - and you greet people at the door, like a dog. What a sweetheart you are!

Enjoy a day of fun and celebration with your family, and get pampered with extra treats, toys and lots of love. I wish you a long, happy and healthy life, Candy!

Dear Candy, what an absolutely gorgeous tuxie girl you are. Your plush coat looks so soft, and your face is too adorable.

You knew right away what to do at the SPCA to get adopted. You climbed into your future sister's lap, and you started purring.

Dearest Candy, what a beautiful Tuxie girl you are! That black and white fur is so sleek and pretty and looks so soft, and you have the sweetest face with that golden eye so full of the look of love and contentment. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You are adorable in each one of them. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Bedford, NY to pet you. I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet you for me .

And what a sweet story you have to tell! You came to your dear Purrrsons on Bruce Springsteen's birthday in 2016. Your family had had three cats before (and how nice to see Fattie as COTD back in 2003!), but they had all passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. The family had been catless for quite a while, but when they came to the SPCA to adopt one, you and they chose each other right away! Now you are living the wonderful indoor life you'd always dreamed of, playing fetch, greeting people at the door, cuddling in bed with your dear skin sisters, watching the wildlife from the window. You and your dear Purrrsons all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful loving home you all share!

Hi Candy! Happy Cat of the Day!

Oh, how perfectly named you are, Candy, for you truly are the sweetest of the sweet (not to mention your gotcha day, and The Boss' birthday, are one and the same, that "candy" is part of one of his most famous songs!

We are so thankful to your furever family for not only choosing rescue, but a special needs kitty to boot (though there's no doubt your limited vision hasn't kept you from living and loving every minute of life, and your furever family, to the max)! How well their compassion has been rewarded, having a beautiful, loyal and loving best furkid in you! And as is so often the case with our rescues, somehow you know just how blessed you are, repaying the love shown you 10 fold!

When she came to live with us, her gratitude for getting her out of the cage she lived in at the SPCA, was so evident in her face and we were all filled with love for her.

Your family knew at first look, at first cuddle, at first purr that you were the one, and how right they were!

We got Candy at the SPCA. At first were looking at some other cats but one of the employees insisted we look at this one-eyed tuxedo cat. We instantly fell in love with her and knew we needed to have her. She climbed into my daughter's arms purring away and we just knew she belonged to us

How lucky your family is, Candy, having a furkid as special as you to call their very own! You do your beloved predecessors...Fattie (a Cat of the Day alumni, 2003), Fee and Anna proud!

Thanks for ending my day with a BIG smile, sweetheart! Meeting you, seeing all of your utterly heart-melting photos, has made my evening! Candy I'm so happy for you to hear that you found your forever home with your person, and also you get to have some fun with 2 girls who I'm sure play with you lots!
I also read about Fattie, our special COTD back in June 2003! She was a cutie, and I'm sure Anna and Fee were too! But now they are watching over you, candy. Your people were lonely without cats in their home. But now that they have you, everyone is happy!
