Yesterday, Monroe had some diarrhea, and I thought he looked skinnier.
I took him to work, and he had lost some weight. The vet recommended some bloodwork. His kidney values had gone up some, which is to be expected because of the furosemide (his "fluid" pill).
This was the second vet who called Monroe an "old" kitty. I never considered a 10-year old cat particularly old, but Monroe is definitely slowing down. He sleeps all day and his appetite is not the best, I'm thinking about going back to an appetite stimulant.
Because of the heart disease, his heart has to work harder, which explains some of the weightloss.
I will recheck his bloodwork in 2 months, and in the meantime, I let him eat whatever he wants to. He seems to be pretty happy, and not in pain.

We're sending good wishes and prayers and healing energies and warm loving thoughts to dearest Monroe. We're so glad he seems happy and not in pain and is eating yummy food.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
