    Greetings, Buddy! Happy Dog of the Day, sweetheart!

    What a beautiful Smooth Collie boy you are, Buddy, and at a mere 8 years young, just hitting your stride!

    I was so touched, Buddy, reading your heartwarming backstory, your daddy's heartfelt, love filled tribute to his and your mommy's best buddy and loving companion! And need I say, you couldn't be more perfectly named!

    I'm so very sorry for your mommy's loss, the tragic passing of her mommy. But oh, what a wonderful thing your daddy did, attempting to hunt down your beloved predecessor's breeder in hopes of finding a pup to help heal your mommy's heart. He may not have been successful in that regard, finding that breeder, but in the end, I do believe everything worked out just as it was destined to be, for a family couldn't have hoped for a more perfect furkid than you! The comfort and healing your unconditional love, your devotion and yes, your antics, brought to your mommy's days was and is, truly a priceless gift!

    Great thanks to your daddy for sharing you with us today, Buddy! Meeting you, learning of the very special place you hold in your mom and dad's hearts, and they in yours, has made my morning! How blessed they are, having a furry family member as beautiful, as loyal and loving as you in their lives! You truly are a treasure, Buddy, heaven sent, and so very deserving of your big day of honor!

    Hope you enjoy a fun filled Dog of the Day, sweetheart, taking a nice, long hike with your mom and dad, cuddling with them on the couch, warming their laps (along with the kitties, hehe), being loved and pampered to pieces! Lots of love, hugs and kisses to you, beautiful Buddy, our very special and most deserving Dog of the Day, EVERY day!Love to your dear kitty sibs, too!
