    Sweetheart Maya is giving up......

It's only 2 months ago since we had to say goodbye-forever to our Zazou , and now Maya is in very bad shape.... .
It's almost 2 years ago now that she got kidney-failiure. Thanks to good meds we were able to give her 2 extra years.
But now she is giving up.....
She is not eating since last week, and she also refuses to drink.... . The vet gave her another medicine and gave her a shot cortisone.
But it is't helping at all. She is laying on her cat-bed, looking miserable....
Because she doen't eat or drink, it will go downhill very fast...
It is NOT fair, we cannot loose another cat so soon after Zazou......; it is breaking our hearts

Oh, Lut, I am so sorry to read this. My heart is breaking for you. You've already been through so much.

I am sending gentle pets to Maya and hugs to you and Bernard and pets to Inka and Snoopy too.

Love from Pat and Sparkler, and Poppy Angel too

Lut - oh no, sweet Maya.

The only thing I can think of - and forgive me if you are doing this - is giving her fluids under her skin. Kirsten does it for Lily and she has lived another two years in good condition.

Hugs and prayers for you and sweet Maya.

Lut, I am so very sorry. Maya is such a beautiful girl, and she is a fighter. She made it this far because you are doing everything possible for her.
I can't even imagine the pain you are feeling, first sweet Zazou, and now precious Maya.
All the best wishes and hugs to you, your family and Maya.

Thanks for all your sweet reactions !
Catty, the vet assured us that giving those fluids cannot make Maya better.
Even that new medicine he prescribed cannot work because it doesn't get into her stomack anymore; in spite of the fact that she hasn't eaten or drunk since several days, she makes choke-movements and then she licks her lips....

It is a heartbraking decision for us, but it is time to let her go cross that Bridge...
    This will happen tomorrow.....
We will bury her next to our Zazou; let's hope that Zazou will be waiting for her big sister on the other side of the Bridge
