Fiona the Fairest!

Our cat's name is Fiona. She is a twelve-year-old buff and white long haired beauty and lives with her human family in Terre Haute.

Fiona is currently our only cat and the first cat that we adopted. She is very sweet and shy, but if you are patient she will flop down at your feet and want to be petted.

We adopted Fiona when she was just a small kitten. The shelter said that she was found in a storm and ever since we've had her she is scared of storms and likes to hide under blankets. There is something very sweet, though, about cuddling with our fluff-cat (as we call her) under the covers during a storm.

Fiona has beautiful green eyes and the softest fur in the world. When she was younger her fur was such a perfect blend of buff and white that in some lights she looked pale pink! We named her Fiona because it means "fair." She is our fair lady even still. She loves boxes, soft places to nap, and we, of course, adore her.

Dear Fiona, what a beautiful longhair girl you are. If I may say so myself, you do looks like the softest kitty in the world, and on top of that, you have the sweetest face.
I'm sorry that you are afraid of storms, but your humans will always be there to keep you safe.
You might be shy at first, but in time you will flop at people's feet to be petted. You also like boxes and soft places, as any kitty should.

What a breathtaking beauty you are, Fiona! Your long, flowing coat and coral and white coloring are gorgeous, exquisite! And looking at your lovely photos, it's hard to believe you're 14 years young, sweetheart!

As soon as I read that "fair" was the meaning of the name Fiona that line from Snow White came to mind..."Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" Well, we now know the answer to that! It wasn't the evil queen, it's Fiona from Terre Haute who's fairest of them all! How blessed your family was, the day they chose rescue, the day they welcomed you in their lives! Your first few weeks on this earth were scary ones indeed, Fiona! But thankfully you were rescued that stormy night before any harm could come to you, and the rest is 12 years of happy history! How lucky your humans are, having known your love and companionship these many years! You truly are a treasure, Fiona, a gem, beautiful inside and out, and so very deserving of your big day of honor!

Dearest Fiona, you are gorgeous! What a stunning lady you are! Your fluffy buff and white fur is so luxurious and soft-looking, a Purrrfect blend of buff and white fur that looks pale pink in some lights. And you have the sweetest face with that cute nose and the lovely big eyes. Thank you for sharing those great photos with us! You are adorable in them all, and they show you off so well. How contented you look in them! I wish I could reach through the screen and down to Terre Haute to pet you. I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet you for me .

And what a lovely story you have to tell! You are your family's first cat adopted from a shelter, and we thank your dear Purrrsons for choosing rescue. You are an excellent example of the treasures to be found in shelters! Your Purrrsons adopted you as a small kitten that had been found in a storm. Ever since then, you've been afraid of storms and like to hide under blankets. Your dear Purrrsons love to cuddle with you, their "fluff-cat," under the covers during a storm!
